Infiniti has unveiled its first IPL (or Infiniti Performance Line) package, a sports-focussed trim upgrade for the G37 Coupe. Think of the IPL pack as the equivalent of BMW’s M Sport or Audi’s S-line kits, and if it proves popular, there’ll be more kits (and even bespoke cars) to come. The Jaguar F-Type Coupe is #GoodToBeBad
Back in November we revealed that the Jaguar F-Type Coupe was going to feature in an advert – Rendezvous – during the Super Bowl in the US as Jaguar look to bring attention in the States to perhaps the most impressive Jaguar in a generation or two. Focusing on the predilection of Hollywood directors to cast British actors as villains, the new F-Type Coupe Super Bowl advert features Sir Ben Kingsley, Tom Hiddleston and Mark Strong as archetypal British villains, with the new Jaguar F-Type front and centre. The advert suggest that Brits make the best villains because they sound right, are more focused, more precise, always one step ahead, have a certain style, an eye for detail and are obsessed by power.
We rang in the week with good news as we found out that the Cadillac ATS will bring a coupe version when the new model arrives next year. We also saw the final trailer for the Oscar-worthy “Fast and Furious 6.”
On Tuesday, we checked out the McLaren P1 testing in the Arctic and saw the cars of the upcoming “Grand Theft Auto V” video game, which included pickup trucks, supercar clones and motorcycles. Midweek, we reviewed the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid and found that the 2014 Lexus IS will only cost $885 more than this year’s.
